    Superman 1991 Style Guide

I picked this up on eBay a while back... it's interesting to look through to learn about things like how DC wants you to use the word Super in your marketing. I have no clue who the artists are on this, though...

Quite a bit of the art looks like it's still Jose Luis Garcia Lopez, although I think he might have been paired up with another inker (Brett Bredding perhaps?).
Think OUTSIDE the Box! For the BEST in Repro & Custom Packaging!

Nice! It would be cool to see today's style guide and compare the 2. Nice site!

Some of that artwork (at least pencils) is Paris Cullins, I'm pretty certain. That Daily Planet page in particular. Looks like the artwork he did on New Gods at the time.

Definitely looks like a different, heavier inker on Lopez, like Anthony said. No more Dick Giordano, like the classic 82 style guide.

Paris Cullens sounds right on some of those pages. I was trying to remember who that was!

I would love to get my hands on an 80s guide, but they are way too expensive.

That sculpture reference page is so strange looking. I've never seen anything like that.
Expectation is the death of discovery.

LOL! I don't think they have one anymore. The thing I can't stand the most about today's comics is that every artist seems to have free reign on however he or she wants to draw the characters. None of them look consistent from book to book these days.

Say what you want about the Silver and Bronze Ages, at least the art was for the most part always on-model. Superman looked 95% the same in Action, Superman, Justice League, DC Comics Presents, World's Finest, Legion and every other title he appeared in.
