60's Talking Gi Joe with box

Picked this guy up today. Not really up on these:

I know some members collect these. Anyone can give some info about him and what he is worth? The talking mechanism doesn't work, but the body is real nice with no cracks. He has some extra accessories.

some of the items are knock offs, like the white boots, white parka, blue pants and possibly the MP helmet and a couple of others..Does the box come with the bottom and insert? if so it's probably about $100-$115

If not it's like $60-$75 tops , but still a nice find

The talking unit is most likely repairable. I fix them if its something minor, if its more involved I send them off to APB Joe (Andrew Bruce). What does it do when you pull the string? Does it retract? Is it stuck? Also keep in mind that the talking units do not mix with water, so if you clean him up do not submerge him or get water in the chest cavity.

I learned the water lesson the hard way as a kid. I got one of these second-hand at a consignment shop in the 70's. I dressed him in a sailor suit, and he went for a boat ride. The waters were rough that day in the tub. He never talked again. I still have him less his talking box. Good look with yours. He's a nice find.

Oh, I had one of these I got at a garage sale in the 70's. The talk box was already malfunctioning. His words would slow towards the end, so it came out "GI Joe, US Army, reporting foooor duuuuutyyy........."
