    Darth and Chewie in Texas

I got an email from Mark this week for actually apologized for "adding to my pile of Darth Vader appearances" (he did get around) and then opened the photos. What Mark doesn't realize is there is few things I like better in this life than....

Weird, homemade Star Wars costume appearances! Oh, I could hug you for this, sir. Mark (pictured in the middle) says it best:

"This pics were taken back in 1978 at the Angelina Mall (which no longer exists) in Lufkin, Texas. The costumes are not very good but back in ’78 – it was freakin’ awesome!"

I have no doubt about that, I'd have been in awe too.

Dark lord of the Sith and judging by his chest, model railway enthusiast.

Thanks a bunch Mark, these are incredible.

Send me your mall appearance photos!

Those are great! You just don't see things like this nowadays.

That Vader and Chewie are great, brings back memories of the Luke Skywalker that ran the Star Wars ride in Woodwood NJ back in the 1970s he had the whole costume but his boots were leg wraps and sneakers.

Photos like this bring back so many warm memories of the days when your imagination was a key ingredient in having fun as a kid. Your imagination took rather simple moments and gave them infinite possibilities. Meet and greets like this were magical.

"It's not wise to upset a man in a Sasquatch suit sitting next to a Commodore 64."

"Join me & we will rule the galaxy together. BTW, what do you think of my new outfit?"
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.
