Vintage Toy Store Pictures Volume 14

Aw yeah, another batch of "back in the day" goodness, this time showing now long defunct toy retailers from the golden age of the 1970s to the mid 1980s.

It's a real goody bag this time including Hot Wheels, Masters of the Universe, GI Joe, Infaceables, Shogun Warriors, Star Wars Power of the Force, Thundercats, Micronauts and much more.

Fantastic photos! The last shot of the Shogun Warriors endcap actually made me gasp! I want that display sign and shelf talkers. I wonder if any still actually exist, I've never seen any come up for sale. Thanks for sharing as always!

I'm guessing '85-'86 here. This would have been my hang out area as I waited.

I wish I could grab a bunch of those M.U.S.C.L.E figures.

One of my favorite PS features! I had to google Infaceables. Didn't know that one. I love the Dinah Mite clear out cap. I have the AJ version, but I've seen the DM one before.

I hate being trapped in one-dimensional linear time.

              Always love these posts.
We didn't really have any toy stores where I lived. We just had stores that had toys, along with all the other stuff.
So seeing these big shelves full of stuff just blows me away.

I know, it seems like a website for the target demographic for Extenze, but it's the Best board on the web for MUSCLE collectors!

That didn't help clear things up much.

                Just go!

I know a doctor who can clear that up just by stepping into a phone booth!

The kid with the Rambo toy cracks me up. "Now you can pretend to be an emotionally scarred Vietnam vet who can't find his buddy's legs."
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Yeah, but at least it actually looked like a real gun. You can't get a toy that looks like an Italian sub machine gun anymore. They can't look like real guns, they can't be colored like real guns, and they have to have a blaze orange tip.

That's why they never officially reissued G1 Megatron in the states.
