    Repairing a first generation smdm

Howdy all! I've come upon a smdm Steve Austin with his left forearm broken off. Everything else looks good so I thought maybe I could repair him like I've done with megos, well I can't figure out how to get the arm off, or even how to get the body apart for that matter!

Any advice or experience in this regard? Thanks in advance.

What I would do is make a small hole in the forearm joint using a pushpin...then do the same at the bicep. Unfold a paper clip and cut a small portion of it off. Insert the portion of paper clip into the bicep and the forearm and push them together...it should hold. I hope that makes sense....

Well, I got him with no forearm. I saw some guy selling the, on eBay for like 15 bucks, but as I read more about it, it seems like he has 2nd gen stuff, as the first gen doesn't appear to be able to remove the left arm. I may buy one anyhow just to try and do some prosthetic surgery! Lol

Yeah, the SMDM toy with it's removable limbs is a breeze to switch out broken parts... unless it's the left arm on a first year figure. I'd just try and get a later release figure... there are a ton of them out there, and can be got for a reasonable price with some looking.

Ah, didn't realize you didn't have the forearm....you might be able to score a left arm for cheap, then just break it at the elbow yourself and put the new forearm on your figure using the method I described.

Thanks guys! Even though the figure is in excellent shape otherwise, ill probably just keep my eye open for a "naked" one for cheap! Maybe ill model a small chainsaw and he can be the lee majors version of "ash" from army if darkness! Lol. I love action figures!
