Fun episode guys! I will admit, I'm not a huge spy guy, but I likes me some Bond. I've never actually seen an episode of The Man from UNCLE. It just never aired in my neck of the woods. During my Indy comics days, I once did a comic project with friend that openly ripped off the Matt Helm films, but it's never been printed, sadly.

I got the Corgi Jr. Astin Martin as a kid and had no what it was. I lost the ejecting figure in like 2 seconds, I believe. My first exposure to Bond was through those ABC Sunday Night reruns. I think I associated that show and the voiceover guy so much with the Superman films that anything they aired was gold to me.

I definitely prefer Connery, and my favorite film is Goldfinger. I know a lot of folks think there are superior Bond films, but that one is quintessential Bond to me. I have a hard time watching Moore nowadays, aside from Live and Let Die and The Man with the Golden Gun. Too campy. I need to rewatch Dalton's films. I felt he was dull at the time, but it may have been my age. Brosnan was okay, but he ran like a girl. A bit too effeminate. Craig fits the bill nicely.

I'm not a huge Bond guy, Jason clearly wears those pants in this one. We had to include the spoof stuff so we could have more of a back and forth.

Agreed on the Dalton, I didn't mention while taping (because I was afraid to) but I'm not even sure I've seen both of his films now. His Bond came at a time in my life where I just didn't care.

I liked Brosnan at the time but I watched "Golden Eye" the other day and he's more Moore than Connery.

Any truth to the old rumor Adam West was in the running for Bond after Connery? I also heard Christian Bale and Henry Cavill were up for the role before Craig got it.

Big Bond fan myself. Definitely like the Dalton movies better now upon re-watching. In retrospect, he didn't get a fair chance since both Connery & Moore had great third films (Goldfinger and The Spy Who Love Me respectively) and Dalton didn't even get a chance.
I actually like like them all (except Lazenby)for different reasons, but have not enjoyed the Craig era much.
I can appreciate why people like him but he's just not Bond to me and the first two installments were missing two many classic bond elements for my taste.
I remember having the Corgi Jr (may still have it actually) Lotus Esprit and not even knowing where it originated what from until I saw the movie when I got older.

I would think not. Talk about risky casting.

Too famous of a previous role and too funny in that role.

Almost like casting Henry Winkler as Indiana Jones.

Chuck Norris made his big screen debut in a Matt Helm film. I think he is also Dean's stunt double.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.
