Custom Dida Vintage Star Wars Jabba's Palace Playset

This is an 1970s take on a Star Wars diorama. I was looking at a blank Dida Display that I had and thought it just might work for my vintage Star Wars figures. These Didas are very versatile! I started by scanning the Hasbro cardboard Jabba's Palace diorama. Since the format is completely different from a Dida Display, I had to heavily reformat it to fit. I also never liked the color tone on the Hasbro set, so I adjusted that, too. The outside of the sit features the artwork from the outside of the Hasbro set. Again, this was heavily altered to fit. Plus, the printing on the outside of the Hasbro set was really poor. What's neat is that the whole thing fits on a standard shelf. Although not setup, I scanned Jabba's throne and altered it to fit over a USPS small Priority box.

    That looks great!
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Hey that's pretty cool. What are those things sticking out of Jabba's throne made of? And what is the seat the blue alien is sitting on?

Awesome, and even better to see 98 % vintage in there.

Jabba's throne is the vintage ROTJ version from the early 80s. The gargoyle-like things are plastic. The blue alien is an original Sy Snootle and his band. He's actually playing a keyboard.

I debated whether to put Oola in. She's one of the few non-vintage figures I have.

                          Truly great work!

And it's cool that you have the vintage Max Rebo band with the rarer colour variant accessories (grey/silver wind instrument for Droopy McCool and black microphones. The more common version came with black wind instrument and grey/silver microphones).
                          PUNY HUMANS!

                            that is really neat Mike.
It was just yesterday that I tried to win an auction for a vintage boxed Jabba playset...outbit by a stinking dollar!
This just makes me more determined lol

That is amazing!!!! If it was in 1:6 scale it would be exactly what I'm looking for. I have that Sideshow Jabba and the one thing that is missing is a backdrop.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.
