    Star Wars 3 pack

Another addition to my ever growing obsession of Whitman poly bagged three pack comics, this pack from Star Wars is something I definitely had. I remember being supremely confused by these ancillary characters specifically the big green rabbit.

In hindsight, Jax is probably less ridiculous than most prequel characters and I certainly can appreciate these comics as an adult. I hadn't seen Star Wars when I bought these originally, so my confusion was slightly earned, although I must have missed that "All new stories, not seen in the movie" disclaimer in 1978.....

      Fantastic!
I have the full run of the Marvel SW series.
I remember picking up a few of those 3 packs from Zellers and other places.
As a kid I always thought they were cool because they had a different shaped price-box and no barcode compared to the standard news-stand editions.

Got more than a few of those during SW marvel run.

Up till around '83 this was all the Star Wars I knew until I finally saw the first movie on TV.

I kinda liked that it was centered around Han.

I remember as a kid being hip to the diamond-shaped price point in the left upper hand corner and the blank upc in the lower left when people tried to pass them off as originals. I wonder how the values differ today?

It varies, depending on the issue.

For instance, a 9.4 example of issue 7 is worth around $30, but a blank UPC edition of the same issue, first print, in same condition would be about $12.
Whereas for issue 11, the values for the standard edition and the blank UPC edition are pretty much the same.

Issue 11 was the last issue they did blank UPC editions for, if I recall.
