I use to walk to the drug store for those. Ours had five packs to. My first Marvel's were bought in those packs. Other than Spidey, Superman, and Batman I think I first discovered half the DC/Marvel Universes thru them.

It always weirded me out to see the Whitman smiley W in the middle of the DC bullet.

Yeah, I remember my old copy of Superman VS Muhammad Ali had the Whitman logo on it in place of the DC logo, which I thought was strange as a kid.

I would really like to read that Black Hole comic. In the meanwhile. If you'd like to re-live the re-print marketing type love. Some of the "Dollar Tree" stores are carrying poly bagged comics 2-packs. These bagged comics appear to be overstock comics and not the re-print types produced by Whitman.
