Classic GI Joe ref needed Hasbro body Evolution.

I spent most of the day so far looking over classic and newer GI Joe related sites. I notice few to none are as chock full of reference and graphic knowledge as our Mego Museum here. But I'll run it by the crew here. I'm looking for a site with pics of the different body styles for the 1/6 versions of GI Joe's. Having owned almost all the 1/6 Joes, From classic, Adventure Team, HOF and the later reissues. I have yet to find any site that chronicles Hasbro's evolution of their GI Joe body.

PS. Another deficiency about the 1/6 action figure lines. They lack the Heavy or Fat body type. Kinda limits the customizing options!!!

Thanks ws62k2. But, I had already checked those sites you listed. I am awaiting approval for the trenches site and hope to be able to confirm some issues. Mainly, The later body style Hasbro used on the 1/6 GI Joe's just before they shifted to the short lived Super Joe's. One of my last GI Joe's I received was packaged on blister card. Unlike the solid plastic Joe's before him. This figures body was more hollow and made of a rigid plastic. But the major issue I noted was its pelvis was blue. I could not help but compare this Joe body design to the Mego's I owned in the past. Though back then, I wasn't that mindful of "Brand Names" and such. I was hoping one of the sites I visited Sunday would have pictures of this Joe body style. It seems that most are more concerned with the classic style GI Joe body design.
I guess I have been spoiled by this site and its in depth coverage of the entire span of the Mego action figure production. Including the many Body designs produced by Mego.

Yeah, definitely a Muscle Body. The pic upthread is an Action Man (UK) but the construction is similar to the US releases. One of the best online references for AT era Joe is http://atgijoe.com/Figures/index.html

Thanks for bringing this subject here. How do you call the GI Joe bodies with strong arms and articulated hands/finger? Thanks in advance!

the ones with the articulated fingers are the super articulated bodies. the muscle body joe is what he was referring to with the blue shorts. the Pality version, Action Man, was built a little differently with a ball joint at the shoulders and elbows and so from what I have seen, has held up better to the test of time. the action man seems to only lose his head, whereas the hasbro body falls apart at the elbow and shoulds and neck and in extreme cases the legs also fall apart

Thank you for the link. Loved the site sooo much I bookmarked it. Plus... The Sea adventurer displayed on the page you listed is the exact one I had as a child. The Atomic Man packaging is the layout I remember but it had a Black haired Joe (Non-Eagle Eye ). I would really love to see one like that again. But I think that type of packaging was done as the 12" line was reaching its end.
I did also have an Atomic Man as a kid but passed on Bulletman. I thought B-man was too silly.
