What the laziest figure added to a major toy line?

For me, it's a contest between Mego Gorn and MOTU Moss Man.

Or is Faker even lazier than Moss Man?

Faker was my first and only choice...and even as a kid, I always thought, how is this guy supposed to fool everyone?

He looks like He-Man if he were found dead at the bottom of a frozen lake. He's freaking BLUE!

      He's cheap & cheesy, but I loved Faker--he had that Motu-bizarro vibe.

Yeah, Bizarro totally worked for me as a kid. I kind of figured he started out looking like He-Man, and kind of rotted and turned blue. They later did this with Bizarro in the Byrne reboot and on STAS.

I'd say Ultra Magnus from Transformers. Take Optimus Prime, paint him all white, and throw some crappy armor on him that won't stay on. Great design on the toon, bad toy.

Faker is awesome. Sure he was an easy repaint but he is also a VERY cool looking figure. Mattel reused tons of parts in MOTU but still always managed to make the toys very cool and unique looking. It's part of the charm.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

How about the countless repacks of the figures in the modern Star Wars line.
If I had only spent a tenth of the time studying Physics that I spent learning Star Wars and Baseball trivia, I would have won the Nobel Prize.

Penguin from the Batman Returns line. Just a re-issue of the Super Powers one.

I'm surprised the classic SW line from Kenner largely avoided "lazy" figure additions.

I mean, they could easily have put out at least three Threepio figures with different paint jobs and packaged them as the other protocol droids we saw in the trilogy.
Or used the R2 figure with a new paint job for the various Astromech droids seen in the movies.

(In fact, I actually wanted those figures as a kid, and was disappointed they didn't make them!)

                      Would've loved the r2-r5.

When you really come down to it, many of the original MOTU figures were 'lazy', in that they all had the same body, but with different colors and different heads. But if you really want to get down to it, isn't Stinkor from the original MOTU series pretty lame? Merman with different colors.
