Need some help"I.D.'ing" some Japanese figures. Eiji Tsuburaya series?

A pal at a flea market has some figures he's offered me a deal on. Problem is I'm not really sure if it's a great deal or not.

-The only thing I could read on the box was what I think said Tsuburaya in big letters on the front, the rest was what I assume is Japanese. I'm sure Tsuburayahe helped to do the effect for lots of characters I'm not as familiar with, but some of the characters were Ultraman, Mirrorman, the rest I don't recall.

-The figures look like they are a numbered series (each box has a number on the side)

-Not articulated from what I can tell (maybe just the arms), and approx. 5"-6" tall.

it looked something like this, but not this.

Yeah Andy, I could definitely nail some stuff down for you with some pics. Bandai has released 6" vinyl figures in boxes like that for quite awhile. Did you notice a year on the boxes (its usually right down on the bottom front)? I'm guessing they might be something from the 90's or newer. There's not a huge demand for the more modern Tsuburaya/Ultra vinyls here in North America, so anything more than a few bucks a piece wouldn't be much of a deal for most of them IMO.

No guys, I didn't get a picture. Sometimes at flea markets the vendors get weird when you go around taking pictures of their stuff (always afraid somebody's going to make more money off their stuff than they are).
But I spent some time browsing through google image search, and while I saw very similar looking figures, I didn't see the same boxes.
Regardless, I'm going to pass on them. The guy that's selling them is a really good guy, gets all kinds of cool stuff and always has different type stuff from the other vendors.
I've bought a few thousand dollars of Mid Century Modern furniture from him in the last few years, but, he buys a lot of toys and stuff he thinks is interesting and thinks will sell at the flea market without doing much research first.

The offer was $50 for I think 7 figures and he was going to throw in some carded figures from an anime (tenishi? something like that). I figured that these figures probably sold for $5-$7 (am I far of the mark Chris?) at Asian malls, sort of like vending Gashapon, but boxed.
