was there a variant on the GI Joe helicopter?

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-1970...item51a625d43f

this link shows an auction for blades with the black rubber bits. the book by James Desimone shows the black tips as well. I have 2 AT copters and neither has the tips or even the rounded piece the tip clips onto. Mine do not appear to have been broken off either. just wondering if the black tip version was an earlier, or later version

I have 2 copters here right now and I've sold a fair number of them. All the ones I've ever seen either had the black tips or they were missing but had the knob to attach them to.

sorry about the crappy quality of the photos, need a new camera. as you will see, no knobs for the black tips. I have a 2nd coptor that is exactly the same

I wanna say the earlier versions had the black rubber tips while later versions were just the plastic blades...
