LJN Adam-12 figures, they made rookies, and Swat so they had lots of police gear and a patrol car already, and they made emergency so how hard would it have been to get that license - I have to believe that a stumbling block was Jck Webb

      Heck yeah!

Especially "Land of the Lost." It was one of their most popular series, and most action oriented to boot.

Webb was in on Emergency, too. So doubt that was the problem. Maybe with the Rookies and Swat they felt no need for another cop line. Would Have loved Friday and Gannon figures, tho.

Knights of the Round Table Action Men (GI Joes).

They already had bearded figures. They already made the horses. Mego made knights. Why didn't Palitoy/Hasbro?

You are pretty much spot on. In fact, I think they could've added one or two more figures to the Tron assortment, the green tank drivers, and ROM.

I'm surprised they didn't try to make figures for Krull in and around the release of the film. Unless they were waiting to see if the movie was a hit before they produced toys.

hasbro was focused on "current era" as was palitoy until the 70's. I am a bit surprised with all the western era uniforms and lifegaurds for the modern brit uniforms that it wasn't explored but a concept like space rangers was - but maybe that was to piggy back on gerry anderson properties like Cpt Scarlet.

I was just thinking that over the holidays. How did Mego not take some clear, inflatable pool vinyl, sew it, and stick it in a box for the 12 inch WW?

My main choice - anything from the 60's Hanna-Barbera when it was revived in the Superfriends era.

Herculoids & Space Ghost, mainly. But anything. Even Banana Splits.

Never understood how WB blew merching the Toth designs, considering DC's entire existence, and the merger with WB, is based totally off of NPP's licensing success of Superman and Batman.

They owned Six Flags and had the WB stores, and did nothing. Still amazed.

I always found it odd they never did a Stretch Mr. Fantastic in the 70's. I know they did one much later when the movie came out. But it's odd that was never considered when the novelty first hit.
