IN HINDSIGHT: No-brainer toys that should have been made, but weren't!

Do you ever wonder why some obvious huge money-making toys were never produced for some of your favorite classic toylines or properties?

    1. Mego: Magnetic 12" Spider-Man. This is probably the most obvious one and has always completely baffled me. If any superhero needed to be able to stick to your fridge, it was this one. What was Mego thinking?

    2. Milton Bradley Operation: Six Million Dollar Man. With all the gimmicky versions of Operation that have been made in recent years, this would have been the perfect choice for a special version. Remove all the faulty bionic components without lighting up Steve's eye. They'd have sold thousands of these things.

    What are your ideas?

Great ideas--the Operation: SMDM is inspired.

Of course, Mego 8" Flash, Green Lantern, & Dr. Doom.

Dale Arden in Mattel's Filmation Flash Gordon line. They made a Lizard Woman but no Dale. Makes NO sense.
You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

Well, to be fair, the Lizard woman hissed, cracked a whip, had a badass weapon, and a tail.

Dale just fainted a lot and said "Oh, Flash!"

Wind-up scuba-diver style Creature From the Balck Lagoon toy. I used to dream of this as a child and hunt for it at toy stores. I still want it.

Well, Mego did at least produce it as part of the CAH line.

Mego Batboat. I mean come on, they made everything else for Bats. I think I am going to have to customize one.

Rocketeer movie tie in action figures. We got a Bendy and an Applause inaction figure.
