Awesome i have to order one of these.I know i had many Rack toys, most forgotten, probably because they didn't last too long.lol.I know anything that floated or was supposed to fly broke or was lost the first time you used it. Not a Rack toy,but i'm reminded of the Cox gas powered helicopter i had.It lasted its maiden flight, fired it up,it took off and flew up.It was a beautiful flight until it ran out of gas and plummeted to the ground and broke into a dozen pieces. But,this like the Rack toys, they were a blast while they lasted.

Ordered mine over the holidays. Not worried about the wait, just wanted to order while it was fresh in my mind. No doubt this will have a honored place on my bookshelf along with World's Greatest Toys and the Kellerman Star Wars book.

Congrats on the book Brian. Received my copy last night and I really enjoyed it!

I love reference books that are detailed and have plenty of great pictures. This book offers both that.

Even though I've now read the book cover to cover, I keep picking it up, and finding new things each time. There really is a lot to take in. The text entries are concise and very informative, and doesn't get in the way of the pictures, just enhances the experience. Even though I've followed PS since day one, I learned quite a bit from the book as well.

Did you take the photos yourself Brian? They look great. Like the overall design of the book, not overdone, but they make you feel like you are picking each item up and looking it over. Outstanding job.

I somehow managed to not get a book for Christmas this year. Rack Toys coming in a few days later really filled the void and surpassed my expectations. I can't wait to see the next book...and the sequel to this one!

The book arrived yesterday and looks great. Apparently I owned more "rack toys" then I remembered.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Read the book cover to cover last night. I want more!

The best image to me was the card to the bendy Godzilla. I still have the toy but not the card. I had forgotten all about it, but as soon as I saw the photo I remembered staring at that card art as a kid and thinking how cool it was. Jason's intro about a time machine is quite accurate.

Hey guys, this response is overwhelmingly cool and deeply appreciated. I laboured so long on the book that it has no impact on me and I worried that it wouldn't have surprises for a reader.

If any of you feel like writing a review on Amazon, I'd be in your debt.

I'll definitely write a review on Amazon later. I got it last night, leafed through most of it and finsihed it today. Great trip down a mostly forgotten part of my toy childhood. Sure I remembered the parachutists, but had forgotten about the water rockets under various sames and motorcycle riding Spider-mans and Hulks. Showed to some of my co-workers who are about the same age and there was a lot of fun "I had that" exclamations.
