    Little People Book Project

After many months of researching, taking pictures and gathering data I have decided to finally write my book on Fisher Price Little People. It's been a slow work in progress and after taking over 500 pictures so far and writing some of the content, I took a break to work on the cover. Once it's all assembled I have to see about getting it published and going through all the legal stuff etc. I don't know how many people would actually buy this book if it ever sees fruition but I wanted to share a sneak peak at my cover mock-up. It's not quite perfect but I like the general look and feel of it. Enjoy!

I have the 2nd book by Fox & Murray. One of the reasons I am writing my book is because they don't really go into much detail about each specific set. Sure they say when each set was released but that's about it. There are also many many many pictorial mistakes of which versions were released for each year (i.e. they show all plastic people in sets from the late 60s and early 70s. The plastic people transition didn't even start until after 1976 - there are other things of that nature in their book). It's kind of sad really because both authors are former workers for Fisher-Price and they at least should get their facts right. But I'm sure they just grabbed whatever set was handy at the time for their pictures.

Plus their book focuses alot more on ALL Fisher Price toys. It's still a nice book but I think there needs to be one that is more focused on the Little People line themselves because of all the many variations. I have amassed over 400 different Little People figures (consisting of variations, mistakes and other oddities) and it can be quite overwhelming trying to figure out which figures went with each set for each year of production. That's what my book is going to be about.

The other book I have recently ordered which should be arriving any day now, so I have yet to determine it's content value and accuracy.

I'd be very into this book, so good luck, can't wait to see it! I know that you really know your stuff when it comes to these toys from reading your past posts, so I look forward to reading this book.
