Towering Inferno and Other 70s Movies

I was just a kid when I saw this movie at a drive-in, it freaked me out especially the elevator scene with people burning in it. I still luv this movie and it brings me right back when I watch again. King Kong, Smokey and the Bandit, Jaws and the Bad News Bears all have a very special place for me, when I am feeling nostalgic, I just pop one of these movies in and it is my drug to cure it, how about you, which movie does it for you and why?

I am a biiiiiggggggg fan of Three Days of the Condor, this movie is amazing and a must watch thriller if you have never seen it, gives me a good dose of 70s nostalgia that I crave so much.

"Three Days of the Condor" is a superb film. I highly recommend it, as well. I've seen it recently, and it trancends the decades. A great movie.

I love the Towering Inferno and the other movies by "The Master Of Disaster" Irwin Allen. I also loved Bad News Bears movies, live action Disney flicks, Sinbad and the Eye of the Tiger, Jaws, Orca, and Bugsy Malone.

If you have the Hallmark channel, check Friday mornings around 7 or 8am. They periodically run 70's Disney films. Some aren't great, but that Apple Dumpling Gang never fails to bring the nostalgic warmth

As far as Disney, & nostalgia are concerned, I always loved "Candleshoe" with Jodie Foster, Helen Hayes & David Niven. I remember seeing it when I was a child, so it really stirs up the nostalgia.
The 3 Sinbad movies are always enjoyable, but for me, I only remember seeing Sinbad & the Eye of the Tiger. Probably the most nostalgia enducing sci/fi fantasy adventure movie for me might be "The Land That Time Forgot". I can remember my mom & dad taking me to see that movie at a drive-in in Louisville, KY. AND- to tie it in with MEGOs, I can remember having a Peter Burke with me on my folk's car roof! I sat on the roof of the car to watch the movie!! I brought I think a Big Jim chair for Burke to sit in & watch the movie with me!
