    Carry Cases

Why does it seem a lot of collectors have no use for them? I mean, I know some use them for storage. But it seems they are usually tough sells and rarely see them displayed in collections. Granted, some of them are space consuming. I was sooo happy to sell the 5+ Darth Vader ones I had at my last yard sale. I charged $2.00 each, but was at the point where I would of taken a $1.00 each.

I find they are good for storing parts, pieces and loose incomplete figures not ready for display yet. Like a have a Mego WGSH ones I keep body parts, clothing, incomplete figures, etc. in.

I always happened to like them. I especially get really excited when I find them with a collection or remnants of one inside. Like a GI JOE one I got earlier this summer with a bunch of figures, weapons, file cards and flag points.

Anyway, I am currently organizing and debating if I should get rid of some of the empty ones I have. The Transformers ones look so cool, especially the jumbo one with the actual photos inside. But do I really need an empty one taking up space?

I'm a fan of them. I think it's the large graphics. I still have my Super Powers (with the Secret Origins inside!), Batman 89, Toy Biz DC Super Heroes and BTAS on display. My son inherited my old beat-up GI Joe:RAH case, which is full of...GI Joes!!! It's cool to see them in there.

I have carrying cases for dolls and action figures: Charlie's Angels, Star Trek: TNG, Starr and Friends, 2 generic action figure cases I bought from someone here on MM that I keep AJ and Big Jim stuff in, plus a carrying case and 2 tri-box sets I bought from Scott, (tri-boxes are mini carrying case playsets). I never had carrying cases as a kid, and I've often wished that after my Saturday morning cartoons, I could pack up some of my Megos in one of those cases and take it to a friends house to play. Oh well.

I love the graphics on them! The character ones, like Darth Vader & C3PO are boring to me.

I always loved Action figure travel cases. Especially the knock off ones. You know the ones, they always seem to have images attached that refer to a certain toyline yet differ enough so as to not violate copyrights. Not long ago I found a vintage doll case made by a company that specialized in making just cases. Travel Toy Inc. I think was the company from back in the 60's. I was told that they produced many types of cases for several doll and action figure lines for many years. Maybe they even made a few for Mego 8" figures. In hindsight I regret not having a travel cases or footlockers for my Mego's or GI Joes. It would have helped preserve many an action figure and tiny accessory back then.
