Remco AWA or LJN WWF ?

I used to collect both, but I leaned more toward LJN WWF's when they were new ......

Back in the mid 90's I got more into the AWA figures and started buying them loose on fleamarkets.

    What about you ?

I really didn't do anything with wrestling figures until the stuff from Hasbro and Galoob came out.

I loved them both,it was easier to play with the AWA figures but the characters kind of sucked, the LJN's were just so much more popular and fun to collect

I don't really have many AWA figures or LJN WWF, but I'd definitely love to pick up several of the AWA ones if I could find them complete. While the figures left a great deal to be desired, the accessories were incredible. Flair and the Freebirds are at the top of my want list.

I really wanted to like the LJN WWF figures, but the fact that they were just rubber statues totally turned me off. I bought Hogan, Andre, the Iron Sheik and Big John Studd and Piper later, but just didn't enjoy them.

I really dug the AWA figures, as they were HeMan sized and at that time there were a bunch of those type of figures, so there were a lot of characters to choose from or to "customize".. I didn't really customize them but I remember using HeMan as Lex Lugar and there were compatible Rocky figures of Hogan and Mr. T, so that was fun. I liked the Road Warriors and Abdulla the Butcher the most.

never been really a fan of either one, the worst wrestlin line has gotta be the wcw 90's made by san franciso toymakers i think. they looked just awful and bad choice selections of characters too.

Vibrating Lex Lugar takes the cake as the worst wresting figure ever made.

Jakks first issue Golddust takes the cake as the most poorly made wresting action figure ever made.
(his legs break getting him out of the package)

                agree ?

Speaking of the SFTC (ie the WCW LJN's) ....

Man, forgive me for forgetting ... i'm getting old

There was 2 pack and I think Steve Regal was one of them.

                      That was a cool set.

Worst thing they ever made was that Hogan and Rodman 2 pack.

Why would they make 2 figures that aren't in scale with any other figures in their lines ?

Never really cared for the AWA period...in any way shape or form....

The LJN WWF figures were appealing to me but for some reason I never got into them....My brother did have the Giant Hulk Hogan figure that I think was from LJN also.

I actually was just looking through my Hasbro WWF figures last weekend when my brother was over. We bought up all we could find back in the 90s and pretty much between the 2 of us have about 90% of them.
