I hate to resurrect a 3-year-old thread, but has anyone ever seen a Captain America FlipIt? I know that they were developing one with art by John Romita, but I've never seen a produced copy.WANTED: Original artwork (comics, toys/merch, and color guides), 1966 Avengers Buttonworld pinback (carded/bagged), and a white-carded MOC Captain America Pocket Heroes. I think these came out ~'77. Growing up in Canada, my Dad bought my younger sibling one at The Met (like a Kresges or Woolworths discount store), probably around '78. o m g, I also loved playing with that thing!!
I never saw a Captain America one. Idea-wise (albeit a Romita story, but not Romita's cover art) I think Cap's iconography from #155 's cover would have been a bang-on pose:

Oh my God! They EXIST! From the thread title, I knew exactly what to expect when clicking on this thread. Those are so awesome in their simplicity and lack of long duration play value.
Old thread resurrected, but first time I've seen them. Neat-O.Comment

I am pretty sure you're right, Mike. I've never seen a finished Captain America FlipIt but I do know that they had Romita draw the art for it because I own the original art. It must not have been a big enough seller for them to produce the Cap version. As a Cap fan, that would've been great to see!WANTED: Original artwork (comics, toys/merch, and color guides), 1966 Avengers Buttonworld pinback (carded/bagged), and a white-carded MOC Captain America Pocket Heroes. Here it is, Mike. As soon as I saw it in a portfolio of a bunch of original art pieces, I knew it was for the FlipIt toy. I didn't remember ever seeing a Captain America FlipIt so I asked where it came from and the owner (a personal friend of Romita) said that John had created it for a toy line in the 70s and even had transcribed it to the era when he autographed it. Neither Romita nor his friend could remember which toy it was for, but it's definitely for FlipIt. I guess they just never produced it.
