My talking Joe said: "GI Joe, U.S. Army, great forty-four watermelon". At least that's what it sounded like to me. That was the only phrase it ever said.

I loved my Adventure Team Commander; here's a list of his phrases:

-I've got a tough assignment for you!

-This is going to be rough. Can you handle it?

-We must get there before dark. Follow me!

-The Adventure Team has the situation controlled.

    -Set up Team Headquarters here.

-Contact Adventure Team Headquarters right away!

-The Adventure Team is needed in Africa!

    -Mission accomplished. Good work, men!

Yeah, it's interesting to find how much Palitoy really did like Fuzz heads and Eagle eyes. No wonder they carried the ball so much longer and further than Hasbro.

I was very confused and it still bugs me to this day
If you still have him it's any easy fix maybe 15 minutes to a hour depending on your skill level. You can buy replacement string at Cottswald. Or do a trade with me sometime I have plenty. Good Luck!

I still have my very abused bearded talking Joe. He has no legs and his string broke shortly after I got him one Christmas some thirty odd years ago.
