anybody know about Dragonball Z toys?

picked up a bunch at the thrift tonight, just wondering if anybody knows anything about them. I have a lot of about 30 different figures and I see lots going for all kinds of different prices on eBay. Some even date from 1989. Apparently lots of different companys have put these guys out?
anybody know?
