How come they don't pronounce that Lee-Go? It rythmes with Mego.

We attended this today, it was pretty cool. The place was packed! We showed up at noon, and we were told that it was filled to capacity and to come back in an hour. It was well organized though, and there were a bunch of great displays, I now realize how much of a thriving and popular hobby that Lego building is. My son had a blast. Sorry we weren't able to arrange going the same day, Ed, but I hope you and your nephews have a good time there tomorrow. I'm sure they'll love it.

Amazing. What I loved about this event is two things primarily... It's all about the hobby itself in that most of the floor space was devoted to Lego displays rather than the dealers, and all the kids in attendance.

There is also such diversity within the hobby... All united by the common tool of building bricks. You've got your star wars guys, military guys, architecture, railroaders, vehicles, space/SCIFI, gamers, mindstorm programming geeks, minifig collectors and artists of all caliber who use Lego as their medium. Very exciting things happening in that hobby.

Only drawback, were the crowds and trying to keep track of three kids darting in and out of those crowds in separate directions. It cleared out towards the end though, which gave us a much better opportunity to get close and study all the detail in the pieces and dioramas all over the room. Favourote thing on display... A stadium with a circus inside.
