    1980 Ben Cooper Catalog

The Ben Cooper name is synonymous to many of us with Halloween from their well known "Smock and Mask" Halloween outfits that had all the relevent licenses to their rubber masks and jigglers, Ben Cooper had almost a stranglehold on October 31st. Journey back to the 1980 Ben Cooper catalog for a an incredible variety of pop culture characters and memories.
Featuring well known characters such as Frankenstein, Darth Vader and the Incredible Hulk to the more obscure characters like Web Woman, this catalog is the biggest catalog I have ever attempt to put on the site before.

Whoa. I had no idea they had costumes for some of these characters. Dr. Strange? The Red Skull? The Super Jrs. Superboy outfit will keep my wife on ebay indefinitely until she finds it. Thanks alot Brain!

It's safe to say you'll never see product like this again. Just look at the "Proctology Surprise Darth Vader" mask. The days of goofy but charming licensed products is long gone.

Do you get a small cardboard city to crush with the Godzilla mask....also why is it that they've given the Yoda mask to the tallest kid in the advert?????

Oh wow, Brian, these are fantastic. So weird Ben Cooper was still selling some licensed Universal costumes when Collegeville held the license in 1980.

            Cooler than cool man, thanks,

Looking over this again, I noticed a glaring misspelling on the Star Wars spread.

Who in the heck is "Yado"?

This is cool! I wouldn't mind trying to put together a collectionof just the masks of all the heroes. That Flash one looks cool and I have no memory of seeing that one. I was Batman and Hulk a few years in a row as each! I think they would look nice along the top of the wall in a toy room. Yet more great and forgotten 70's stuff keeps popping up here lately.

I also went as "Yado" one year. I would have liked to go as "Darth Vadar". Either way, at least I was a "Star War" character.

I hope you realize how cool that photo is Sentry, I have nothing remotely like that of my childhood, most of the photos of mine are gone.
Thanks for sharing that, it is always funny to see some thing nostalgic like that.
