New Kid on the Block Seeking Info on a CA/Mego 12 inch Batman Knock Off Figure

    Hi, folks:

I'm new to this Forum and wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Puerto Rico. I hope someone here can help me find information on a Captain Action / Mego Batman Knock Off 12 inch figure.

It has an IDEAL Captain Action MOLDED head (not a two piece mask) and a MEGO 12 inch Batman costume. I would like to know who manufactured it (Although it seems to be that it is a Knock Off figure).

What other figures were made as part of this line? (Some other superheroes are shown on the figure card) . Does anyone know someone who can provide me with pictures of these figures? Or a link to them at least.

Finally, does anyone has an idea on how I can lay a hand on one of these figures? I am a huge Robin fan, so at least having info on the Robin figure would be a must! Thanks in advance and Blessings from Puerto Rico!

They're knockoffs, the series with the molded heads came out in the eighties and the set consisted of Batman, Spiderman, Robin, Captain Action and Superman.

Also it appears there is an earlier series that had Flash Gordon and Captain America.

Thanks for getting back sir. I would love to refer to pictures of these figures to better appreciate them. Especially of Robin. Do you know any web link or forum member that might shed additional light on these? Thanks in advance!

In the Southeast Pacific, lies the sunken city of R'Leyh. There lies C'thulhu waits to return to our world with the other Great Old Ones. A hideous creature of enormous size and alien power, it waits for it's time to return patiently. For it has all the time in the world while it waits for the stars.

Those are pretty cool figures! If I were to look for those on ebay, what should I search? Was there a specific title on the packaging those knockoffs came in?

I was gonna post that link as well toys2cool.

                          Ariel,

I own the Flash Gordon that I put up the photo of, and as you can see its card has cameos of Batman, as well as Spiderman, Captain America, and the Phantom. Mine has the actual CA Flash mask over a molded and unpainted Flash Gordon head. Very odd. Would love to know more about these, so if you find more info elsewhere, please share it here.

                          Best,

                          Shannon
