Gosh, I didn't know what they were called either.. I believe I still have my 'Red Catchup' from my youth buried somewhere..

I only had that one, so they sold separately in stores.

I had and loved these as a kid. They now fetch a pretty good price on eBay.

I agree, I had completely forgotten about those. I don't think I ever knew what they were, but I ended up with one somehow.

LOL, this is part of my previous post in a thread about what the most valuable toy you have. Hy Gear is very important to me because it helped me find my bestest friend in the world. My wife Maggy.

A close second would be my Hotwheels Farb named Hy-Gear. I had one as a kid and it was my most favorite Hotwheels car. I played with it often. So I signed up to eBay in 2001 in hopes of finding another one. I placed a bid and lost in the final seconds to a sniper. I decided I knew nothing about eBay and bidding so I went to their bidding help board to learn. That is where I met my wife Maggy. So that little car has given me more happiness in my life then I could have ever expected. I'm not sure if I ever mentioned this but Maggy and I also got married right on the convention floor at the eBay Live convention in New Orleans in 2004. Meg Whitman is one of the witness signatures on our marriage license.
