Despite my love for all things super hero (esp. Mego), I've gone on record as saying the Evel stunt cycle is the greatest boys TOY ever made. Me and my kids still get the Playing Mantis reissue out a few times a year and let Evel roll. Just like my original stunt cycle and the Team America version, it's now missing one handle bar.

The Evel Knievel/Derry Daring toys are always a hit around here. Ahh...happiness is a Saturday afternoon, a long stretch of pavement, the whirring sounds of the winder, and Evel or Derry popping wheelies and jumping book and block ramps.

Yes, I can see I believe that it's magic
If your mission is magic your love will shine true."

Yeah... there's nothing quite like the sound of an Evel Knievel toy being wound up on the energizer. It never fails to put a smile on my face... pure sonic joy.

I bought the Sky Cycle at a toy show but passed on the Crash Car. Now I wish I had bought the car too.

I had that cycle in the pic and I can not tell you the number of hours I played with it. It would jump over anything I could find.

Evel Knievel and Darry Daring are some of the greatest toys ever!! I've got a bunch of vintage stuff.
I loved the Viva Knievel movie and I watched it many times, and I still would if I didn't loose my DVD. I gotta get another one soon as I'm getting a Viva Knievel itch i need to scratch.

Same here! I had Viva Knievel on dvd and lost it. I've been dying to rewatch it. I'm going to have to rebuy it for $9.
If a Mego figure of God did not exist, it would be necessary for EMCE to invent him.

Looks like it is loosely based off of one. I love those cars.
