I drove passed this place a million times but finally stopped in yesterday. They have some INCREDIBLE stuff. An absolute dead mint Cantina playset w/ bagged Blue Snaggletooth and a bunch more. An amazing selection.
Sadly, the prices make the items untouchable. Shogun Warriors Godzilla has been VERY high on my want list forever now. I am in love with him and when I saw him in the glass case today, I was ready to buy it. I was more than willing to pay $100 plus tax (even though they are going for even less these days on eBay).
The owner had to be called in order to get a price and he was dead set on $300!?!?! Claims he paid over $250 and was not going to take anything less.
Man I hate that. So because YOU got ripped off and paid too much, somebody else has to also? Why not just take a loss?
I understand stores have a huge overhead and have sky high rent. But I really hate comic and collectible stores that deprive the collector of what they want because of utterly laughable and rape prices (while of course trying to make it seem they are all about "the collector" and other patronizing nonsense). If I had to mark stuff up to where I was practically robbing people, I would simply close.
