    Bought A Vintage Mattel Toy

Well it's not a MEGO but still hard to find. I sold a few bike parts 2 weekends ago when visiting a friend in Minnesota so I used a small part of the proceeds to make an offer on this and I got it. Can't wait until it comes! And yes, I collect vintage Monkees items. It was one of my favorite shows on Saturday morning when I was a little kid. I was born in 1965 so I never saw it on prime time.

Thanks guys! I wasn't sure if there were any other Monkees fans here but I should have known better since so many of you seem to like the same toys and TV shows I like.

Yes it is. One of the reasons I got this one is that the seller states that it works as it should. Some of them don't work anymore but I have read of people having them restored. I am more into original stuff and this one looks pretty minty.

It should interest some to know the Monkees at their height of popularity were actually outselling the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. They had FOUR number one records in 1967! That's in the Guinness book of world records.

Does it play music when you pull the string or is the dialogue from the tv show or something?
