Some wood, some foam core. The wood areas are for the structure to house the working mechanisms like the conveyor belt. I have found the cardboard backing on old bookcases to be just as sturdy and because this is a DIY, you choose the materials you use. Note the use of other materials like the reflective adhesive back material. Also note the Micronauts figures.

Print it out on a color printer and cardstock in Landscape. It should almost fill the page. Trim it and fold along the bottom of the squares. You get a floor and wall scaled for 1/18 scale figures.

I remember seeing those Woman's Day space station pics on a SW site somewhere.

That space center playset is the greatest thing I've ever seen.

....that's a pretty good idea! 'Course now I gotta find room for a 3 foot space station....

If you think about it and plan ahead, you can change it to look however you want.

I am only going to talk about Marvel World for a moment, because it already has it's own thread here.

I also stumbled on this one, but being at work, I could not open the site. Anyone have anymore info on it?

Anyone have the Super Powers Skyscraper game? I can't remember the exact title, but it was a set of pasteboard buildings and really nicely detailed one color Super Powers figurines, with Superman, Batman, Robin, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, Joker, Penguin, Lex Luthor and Brainiac. The buildings were drawn by Marshall Rogers and Terry Austin no less! Rogers was an architect student before getting into comics.

^I still have most of the pieces, just no box. The buildings are flattened out and stored in tote somewhere...
