Milky The Cow Color Variations

OK, as crazy as I was to buy the first one, I found a Brown one and bought it also. I am wondering if anyone has any history on these, how many of each color, is one more rare than the other, the box of both shows him black, and I have not seen another that is brown. Any info or theories is appreciated.
