    Shogun Warriors Godzilla question...

Just bought a Godzilla with no tail and no firing fist. I have these two pieces from a completely hammered Godzilla I picked up on ebay a long time ago. I noticed that the hammered one has a weight in the body. Did they all come that way??? cause the one I picked up with missing tail and firing fist doesn't have the weight inside the body. Also, can the body of Godzilla be opened without damaging it?? I'd like to take the weight out of the hammered one and put it in the one I picked up. Thanks for any help on this.

Is it safe in assuming that the weighted versions are earlier?

yes, I believe the earlier versions of the Goji were the weighted ones. They also tended to have the tongue lever snap off. The last version of Godzilla had a reinforcement on the tongue lever which helped it survive playtime a lot better.

it has been a little while, but I believe the feet pads are held on by phillips screws which you can remove to repair the toenails and replace the weights.

Yup. most of the gojis I've run across have the little black cross head screws. I don't believe any molds changed in the body design so parts should be swappable.

Speaking of - Just picked up a Rodan myself, missing wings. He's shorter in person, :\

I want one of these bad boys badly. There was two of them at the recent toy show I went to for $40. But they were both missing the fists and had damages.

I've always thought Mattel missed the boat BIGTIME by NOT producing a MechaGodzilla. That would've been sooooo cool back then. Today too.

Not both of them The one I bought just needed the Tail and Firing Fist. Feet were fine. The other one had the claws on the feet missing. Got the seller to go down to $30.

I was slightly disappointed with the show. More 80's stuff than vintage 70's. The one guy on the back row had some Vintage Joes....but that was basically it for the show. Might have to get a few tables at the next show and bring some vintage Megos, Big Jim, Captain Action and Marx. Liven the show up a bit

I was impressed with the guy that had the 80's GI Joe Carrier. That thing must have been a pain in the you know what to get into the show. And at $1000 wasn't a bad price for a complete and boxed one. Thank God I'm not into 80's Joes He seemed to have good prices and he also had the Godzilla's.

I thought one of them had a broken tongue.

I think the Flagg was being sold by the organizer. He told me the next show might be in a bigger location, so there will be more vendor space.

I was disappointed with the lack of Mego stuff.

                    I didn't spend much.
