Flight of The October Bird of Death

I'm Sgt. Storm. Today I will pilot a one-man surveillance rocket code-named "The October Bird of Death". The launch site is in Eagle Rock, Ca.

The rocket will be running on a C6-5 engine and will climb to about 530 feet into the air before deploying its parachute. It's equipped with a special camera which will start recording shortly after lift-off.

The wind is blowing 7 m.p.h. from the South East. This will make for a dangerous descent. If I'm not waving at you at the end of the second video, then most likely I died a horrible death. Wish me luck.

Major Matt Mason chose Space Scientist (Radiology) Doug Davis, to man the next flight. The launch site was in Pasadena, CA., next to the Rose Bowl. Davis had the camera set for pics instead of video for this flight. It was successful.

Haha! THAT looks like so much fun! I've always wanted to do that, especially with an action figure!

        Thanks for posting!
