Sclemeel, Schlemazel, what the &%*$ is this?

A real good example of the "What the?" nature of rack toys, this set depicts Laverne and Shirely, two brewery workers as secretarys but also has some scale issues. Is this for dolls? Then why the gigantic calculator and pencil? if it's a role play item what's with the tiny, useless book case, I'm getting a nose bleed...

I've never seen this before, but I'd buy this set if I found it.

I'm not sure I can even tell what all of the items are.

Could the bookcase be a hidden stamp pad? Is that a stamp in the top left?

What's the white strip on the left hand side? The world may never know.

        That's too ridiculous for words.

Did Harmony toys not realize these girls worked as bottle cappers at a brewery and not behind a desk?

1977? Is that when they were in California? I know they worked for a department store but I don't believe they worked as secretaries?

                        Telephone!!!!

                        Thanks AAAAA.

I would have eventually figured out the ruler, but my mind wasn't going to wrap itself around that angle to figure out the phone. Now I see it with the handset sitting in the cradle on the base.

I think the bookshelf is munchkin sized scale to fit Squiggy. He's no Big Ragu you know!
