it goes deeper and deeper than that. People are making amazing Lego creations every day.

it truly is the perfect toy. It is a way to unhinge one's imagination, and allow them to create that which doesn't exist, or that which we could only dream.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

During the mid 70's, I enjoyed building spaceships and buildings for my MPC Astronauts:

I've always hated the Lego Theme Playsets that appeared later on. Back in the day, you would build things with Legos from your imagination; that was the genius of the toy. As an adult, I don't know what I despise more: Lego Theme Playsets or Legoland.
You are transparent; I see many things... I see plans within plans.

There's nothing wrong with the idea that a box of legos is whatever you want them to be, but the themes offer a jumping on point.

plus, you get themed minifigures. I'm a bigger minifigure fan now, than I am of the sets themselves, most times.
