    Spider-Man Webmaker!

I wanted to share this with you guys. Enjoy!

One of the few non-Super Powers related pieces I have, it's the Spider-Man Web Maker by Chemtoy from 1977. I distinctly remember my parents buying me this when we visited my uncles who were living in San Diego at the time. I also first saw Star Wars on that trip. The "webbing" that you could "spin" I wove in-between the iron bars of their porch railing. Last year a packaged one turned up from a guy selling his 40+ year Marvel collection on eBay. I simply HAD to have it.

    Peace,

    Chip

Super Powers, Super Powers and more Super Powers.

I believe I have the 2nd largest Super Powers collection in the world.

      Peace,

      Chip

Now that would be a tough one not to open. I don't know if I could resist the temptation to spin some webs.

Wow! I totally remember wanting this "back in the day." Thanks for the fun flashback!

I love the fact that it's made by a company called Chemtoy. In our hyper-sensitive, politically correct, litigious, "protect the children" modern culture, I doubt that a company name combining chemicals and toys would fly today. The '70s were awesome!!

I remember having this, it was fun making webs with the fluid. I also remember buying extra fluid tubes but they never really turned to "webs" like the tube that came with the set. I used to put it across doorways for my mother to walk into.

I still have mine from childhood. I never could get the webliquid to work for mine. Alittle 411: if you look closely at the set, if does not come with Mary Jane. It's Wonder Woman.

One of the few toys my mom refused to buy me. She just knew the web stuff would stain the rugs, clothes, couch, etc. She was probably right, but I was spoiled rotten, so her resistance surprised me.

I had this too when I was a boy. I could never get the little figures to stay on the web.
