So many great memories as a kid thanks to this guy and his pals, but he's always been #1 to me.
"It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues. There is iron in your words of death for all Comanche to see, and so there is iron in your words of life. No signed paper can hold the iron. It must come from men. The words of Ten Bears carries the same iron of life and death. It is good that warriors such as we meet in the struggle of life... or death. It shall be life."
Zartan was the coolest, and my entry into GI Joe RAH. I resisted a long time on this line, not being "an army guy". But the mini-series worked on me, and I caved and bought Zartan and was hooked. Then it was Duke, Blowtorch...and on and on!!!
The only downside to all of this was Zartan met a horrible death thanks to my dad's lawn mower. He told me to pick up my toys!!!

I had a Cobra Hang-glider when I was a kid that my Grandmother bought me. I was in the backyard flying it at the same time my dad was mowing the lawn and it crashed right in front of him and...well it was bad.
I also had an incident involving one of the Crimson Twins and a parachute. I tossed it up in the air and he came down with no head. I guess the screw in the back may have been loose or something.
Wanted: Legends of the West (Empire & Excel) and other western historically-based figures. Send me an offer.
Also interested in figures based on literary characters.
The original Skeletor from MOTU...that icy blue skin, bright purple armor, and yellow green skull just made him POP...and the fact he was monstrously ripped and almost two inches taller than my Star wars figures didn't hurt either.
He took over my toy collection instantly back in '82.
The POTF 2 Cinema Scenes featuring Luke and Han in stormtrooper gear hauling Chewie off to the stockade and the "Final Jedi Duel" with Luke, Vader and the sitting down Emperor. These are just too cool to me. Sorry can't post a picture at the moment.
Yes. Yes it is.
I am told by my older sister that when I saw it in some five-and-dime at age three, there was a sharp intake of breath followed by my standing in open mouthed awe. Since she was the one that could say, "hey mom, want to buy this for him?" I always thought it was hers and couldn't figure out why she was letting me play with it all the time.
