help ID a 3 3/4 robot with rainbow stickers

Hiya folks,

trying to find out the name for this figure. 1:18 scale silver robot with yellow/red/blue striped stickers around its wrist. Also has stickers on the lower legs. A red triangle pointing down towards another set of yellow/red/blue stripes all on a black background. Head arms and legs look to be chrome. The figure fits in pretty well with the small 3" scale die cast shoguns, but it is not from that line (to my knowledge).

I have a pic, but am not able to post it at the moment. I was hoping the rainbow wrist stickers would ring the bell for someone who was familiar with it.

Does it have a 'whistle' embedded in its chest? I think I know what figure you are talking about.. I don't know its name or what line it is from- but I had one at one time. There are apparently others similar to it from the same line. I think the figure you're talking about is a type of rack toy. I vaguely remember getting mine way back in the late 70's from a dimestore...

It's like the one I have, in that it's from the same line. It has a odd whistle embedded in its chest.

pretty sure it is a version of a kidco robot. I do believe it has a whistle in the chest.

I have a black one. Didn't know that was a whistle though, kinda strange. I wonder if the original intent was to have kids try to make their robot sound like r2d2. sounds plausible, best I can come up with.
