    small Tomland Star Raiders

As with the rest of the Star line, I would think these were put on endcaps to entice Star Wars happy buyers to give them to kids as aliens from the Galaxy far, far away.

Did anyone actually mix these in with their SW figures, tho?
I have nabbed many a lot of loose figures in my SW collecting phases, and have never come across one of these fellows. I think I have seen just about every other line of toys represented in loose lots, but never any Star Raiders.

Anybody have these as a kid? How did they fit in with your play?

Yup. And GI Joe when he was small. They were cheap and readily available around here.

Funny you should ask. I just picked these up today at the post office. (THEY ARE NOT FOR SALE!) I am so very pleased with these. The top right four (4) are variants with the weird Micronauts style limbs. I am so proud of this score! What do you think?

          Wow; those look great!!

these are one of the lines I totally missed as a kid. I have no recollection of seeing these in any stores or at any other kid's house. I am loving the line now, tho.

btw: very cool timing with the bunny in the corner of the card.

Yeah...I know the bunny is on their back and is also on the back of the 8" Mego style figures when you remove the clothing.

Note: Even though these are sealed on the cards, the figures look a little dirty in their plastic little prisons. If you have these loose and feel yours looks a little dirty then do not feel bad as it probably came from the factory that way. Also, do not feel bad if you can not locate a weapon. Space Fighter figures did not come with weapons! CHEAP & WHOLESOME GOODNESS!

I was born in 1971; I remember a friend of mine having some of these in his toybox and me wishing I had them. I can not help but think of him now that I have these. (R.I.P. Sam Smith of Panama City Beach, Florida - We still miss you.)

I know nothing about these other than they have a very neat charm about them. The blue guy on the bottom, 3rd in from the right is somewhat sinister looking!

I have noticed that they are knock-offs of Star Wars but I see designs that look very close to Micronauts, Rom The Spacenight, Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, and maybe Land of The Lost.

If anyone else sees something I do not, please let me know.

Oh yeah, of course you have the obvious The Fly, The Yeti, The Cyclops, and The Morlock in the 8" line.

I have been typing Tomland on Ebay for weeks and they popped up with the buy-it-now feature. I bet they were on eBay for just a few minutes before I wiped them all out. Let me say...I may (or may not) have paid more than most would have ($600.00) but I know they are as clean and uncirculated as can be. I am also not stressing until the auction ends.

They are MOC however someone cut the cards down to nothing, probably with the intent to send them to AFA and have them graded as loose. The whole card is not on any of these and pretty much all I have is the bubble with backing holding the figures in. Still...I am very happy at getting them in this condition.

I can always find a vintage Greedo, Chewbacca, or even a Yak Face on eBay but the Tomlands are damn elusive.

Remember the Colorforms Outer Space Men? They were knock-offs ment for kids to use with the Major Matt Mason line.

Congrats on scoring such a great looking set. If I saw those I would have bought them in a heart beat as well. Amazing collection.

Nice. That guy has been selling off a ton of stuff with the card cut down. I think that is a pretty good price. These are super rare.

I AM ON FIRE! Really! I just located another rare one and this one was out there/up for grabs on the net for everyone to see.

Can anyone tell me an aproximate price for the Tomland Space People figures loose? They were the last run of the Tomland mini figures and had heads that were way too large for the bodies. This one is missing the chest sticker and has a chip in the neck (common problem with many Tomland figures); however I understand that the Tomland Space People line is very rare.

Okay, going to bed. First, I have to show off the 1982 Tomland Space People figure (loose) I just picked up for 10.00 British Pounds on the internet. (This is the first Space People I have ever seen of Wag.) At the current exchange rate, that is approximately $17.00 US Dollars. The toy dealer did not know what he had and listed it on his websight as "Toyland" Unknown Alien. (I am sure he misread Tomland and thought it said Toyland.) What do you think? Did I score? I do not know what these go for but I understand they are rare in any condition.

This one should hold me until I discover a better condition one.

A face only a mother could love.
