It's so funny / odd to remember this but when I was a kid my Dad was a "1 channel and leave it" guy. All of my Saturday mornings were spent on ABC.
On a side note, am I the only one who found it odd that the PBS station didn't have any kid oriented Saturday morning programming considering their regular line up back then?Comment

I was born in '73, so 1985 was right about when I'd stopped watching Saturday Morning Cartoons with any sort of regularity. But I'd still watch the specials like this when they'd come on out of curiosity. And really, I never stopped watching cartoons, but I cared more about the old classics rather than the sillier new cartoons coming out when I was in junior high.Comment

Wow, that has the feel, style, clothes and music of 1985. Spot on.
People don't seem to recall how bad the 80's were when it came to fashion and music as well..well the those things that were in the limelight. The transitional period of post punk/new wave underground fashion to the public and synth DX7 tacky sounds.Comment

I coulda handled a BLAIR & RUDY sitcom for at least a few episodes."No. No no no no no no. You done got me talkin' politics. I didn't wanna'. Like I said y'all, I'm just happy to be alive. I think I'll scoot over here right by this winda', let this beautiful carriage rock me to sleep, and dream about how lucky I am." - Chris MannixComment
