Anyone want to ID these toys?

I have never seen these toy's before, I think they are from the 60's, they looks very simular to Mego.
I know some people here probably have seen them a million time's (or have them in their collection). I was wondering if anyone had any more info on them
    -thanks

Ideal Superqueens, a female answer to the Captain Action line. The Superqueens were a big bomb and very hard to find these days. MIB examples usually go for thousands.

      Hey Ninja,

They are the Ideal Super Queens, four of the hardest to find and most valuable super hero figures ever made. I want to say that they are late 60's (69?) but don't have a reference handy.

There are a couple of members here with boxed examples in their collections, hopefully they will chime in.

      Cheers!

great, thanks for the help guys, Im guessing these are just more of those thing's that will NEVER be added to my collection. I think it's great that they added Mera, Aquaman's female friend, it is such a shame that Mego didn't use that idea, Aquaman should have had a female partner so girl's could join in on the under-water fun!
          thanks for the help guys

no kidding? 12 inch? All Captain Action's were 12 inch werent they? That just makes me want to get them even more, 12 inch doll's are an obsession of mine. "Super-rare" is something that wards me off though, 'Super-hero toy + Super Rare = Mega Money'.

Very cool toys, but long ago I resigned myself to the fact that I will probably never own them, unless through an incredible stroke of luck.

CA was closer to 11" tall. As you can see in my pic, 12 1/2" Mego Spidey towers over 11" CA Capt America. I'm with ya on (more or less) 12" figures.

I think you summed up virtually my whole hobby of collecting Mego. For example, I have given up on ever owning a RM Robin (all original), Aquaman VS Shark (I would LOVE to own one, even broken and sun faded), and the lili ledy 12 inch Tusken Raider is getting there.
Oh well, we have Mego to satisfy our toy needs instead of Captain Action, but if your going for every vintage super hero doll then your in for some trouble.

Captian action is the exact same size as a vintage gijoe/action man. mego 12 inch slim bodies (star trek TMP for instance or ealry batman) are a little taller than joe/action man (marginal difference in scale) but the type 2 Mego 12 inch body (musclebound one) used for the Christoper reeves superman, magnetic batman & robin, and buck rogers are almost 13 inches (they look great with the modern DC directs).

Playing mantis put out repro capt actions about 10 years ago but were not allowed to use marve or DC (sounds like of like EMCE now huh?) but they had an awesome Green honet and kato.

In vintage CPt action had superman, aquaman, cpt america, Sgt Fury, batman, green hornet and for Kid action (a 10 Inch sidekick) superboy and Robin (and maybe an aqualad i can't recall). don't know of a collectors site but google for it. ebay has a whole section for capt action

My CA Cap is vintage (on a repro body). I got him for $100. He's missing his shield, there is a small run in the back of the outfit and some usual damage to the star emblem, but otherwise in great condition. Now is a better time for collecting Capt Action compared to say, 10 years ago. The prices have come down a lot since then. Some of the rarer stuff still goes for more money, but if you are patient, you can find some good deals on the commoner outfits on ebay.

                          Here's some cool CA sites:

Don't give up on that one. 12" Star Wars Ledys are a new obsession of mine. (you can see a bit of my Ledy Vader and Leia's box in the above pic). I'll probably never complete a boxed set (unless I have around 10 grand and some luck and patience), but as they say, the journey is often more exciting than the destination (if I could just somehow get around $4500 together, I know people who are selling a Luke, Han and R2 in nice boxes )

I have a good Super Queen story. A few years back I was at a local flea market that I haunt, its hit and miss, usually small stuff. Anyway there is a guy there who always has a lot of toys, overpriced stuff mainly, but he knows to put Mego stuff, or anything that looks like it, aside for me. On this particular day, he calls me over and asked me if I needed an outfit for the 12 inch Mego Batgirl, I looked at him confused, then he pulled out a sandwich bag with the costume for the Ideal Batgirl Super Queen. It had the suit, boots, cowl, cape and chest emblem. He asked me for ten dollars for it and I tried to get my wallet out calmly with out giggling so as not to give it away. So after some eBay searching for a blonde Ideal Posin' Misty Doll, which is essentailly the same doll the used for Super Queens, I had a Batgirl Super Queen. So it still can happen.
