Smile a sunny morning...
I got the Strawberry Shortcake 30th Anniversary collection today. Can't open it yet though. It's a Christmas present.

From what I can see, they're berry close to the vintage ones. I'm actually surprised how close Hasbro was able to match the patterns and materials of their outfits and I doubt they had access to the vintage Kenner molds for the dolls. They'd fit in perfectly with the classic dolls on display. The set even comes with a classic style post card.
But there's some neat little things about this set which sets them apart from the originals. They all use the first style flat hands body but Orange Blossom and Raspbery Tart were only issued with the curved hand style to the best of my knowledge. Strawberry and Raspberry are in their first year outfits but Orange is from the later Party Pleaser series. The Party Pleaser Orange also came with her pet which is not included here. The comb is obviously a different mold with thicker and fewer teeth.
It's a terrific set and a real bargin at $29.99, in my opinion. The only thing that could have made this any better would have been including their little pets.
