    1976 Horsman Police Woman Catalog

It may seem commonplace now but the mid seventies TV series "Police Woman" was groundbreaking televison.

Angie Dickinson played "Pepper" Anderson, a no nonsense lady cop and she became the first female lead of an action series (thankfully not the last, bit of a "Xena: Warrior Princess" fan ).

Horsman dolls sought to captilize on this powerful new role model with an action figure (not a doll) and a series of cool outfits. Interestingly enough this line was also marketed by Model Toys in the UK as "HAVOC" and centered around a group of female spies, I'm not sure which line came first.

I wonder what Angie's cut was, if any? I remember watching the show.

I think the one time I tried to watch this show, I fell asleep. I don't remember if it was boredom, or just 'cos it came on at 10pm. (maybe a little of both)

Hmmm...I wonder if these outfits would fit Charlie's Angels dolls?

Never heard of the show and never seen the toys. But a seventies police show with a leading lady, I can picture it now and I bet I would've loved it

Into what setting did this undercover mission ask Pepper to blend? A magician's convention? A meeting of the Hamburglar Fan Club?

I prefer the 'Hostess to Danger' outift. It reminds me of the waiter outfit that came with AJ's 'Service of Doom' restaurant playset.

The weird nature of the outfits causes me to think HAVOC came first.

Wow, wildly different and I did not notice. The one on the display box actually looks a little like Dickinson.

They are 9" tall, about the same size as the Charlie's Angels dolls, so the outfits should be compatible. I just wish her head wasn't so oversized, it's especially obvious when she's standing next to the Angels dolls.

I have the "Hostess to Danger" outfit, it's pretty cool. Barbie's outfits never came with grenades, champagne bottles and a geiger counter like this one does.

Yeah, the other one looks like the Havoc doll. Maybe that's the way it was released in other countries, or maybe it was a prototype.
