It says Mattel, but is actually considered part of the Barbie line?

I have those dolls. The were test marketed and did not go to a full retail release. The action feature mechanism was fragile and broke under heavy play. They used to be much more valuable but interest in them has really waned in the last decade.

Beautiful dolls and probably considered a spin off or friend line of Barbie like Spectra. The head molds were later used in the regular Barbie line. The timing of them does coincide with the Wonder Woman TV series but you can still see a lot of early She-Ra in them too.

You are a bold and courageous person, afraid of nothing. High on a hill top near your home, there stands a dilapidated old mansion. Some say the place is haunted, but you don't believe in such myths. One dark and stormy night, a light appears in the topmost window in the tower of the old house. You decide to investigate... and you never return...

          interesting......

looks like we discovered where Masters of the Universe got the inspiration for their ugly Chicken Woman Sorceress.
Looking for Green Arrow accessories, Doctor Who Sonic Screwdriver, and Japanese Popy Megos (Battle Cossack and France, Battle of the Planets, Kamen Rider, Ultraman) and World Heroes figures

I was just going to say they look a lot like the inspiration point for the She-Ra designs. Perhaps a bit ahead of their time....might have done better if they were released a few year later when Golden Girl and She Ra were selling.
