    Captain Action Trading Card Set

Did anyone else order this trading card set from Diamond & Moonstone Comics? I got mine today, retail was $24.95.

It's a fifty-card set, some images from the classic toy line brochures, advertising, but mostly cover art from the Moonstone Comic series. There is a special #51 "Magnet Card", which is a thin refrigerator style magnet.

There were three autographed cards, just random sign cards from the set it appears: artists Mark Sparacio, Ed Catto, and CA owner Joe Ahearn.

The box is a plastic container, similar to a pencil box, with a logo sticker on top. It did not come wrapped in any plastic, so the box had some light wear. It only was sealed with the little quality sticker (see the photo). It comes with a photocopied COA. The set is not serial numbered. There is a metal CA emblem cloissone style pin that is pushed through the lid of the box (again, luckily it's unscratched, but shipped without protection.

I'm disappointed with the packaging quality, and while the cards are nicely done, the box is NOT what was pictured in the advertising (see the image, it looks like a metal or tin box). And the lack of protection is annoying, for the price, especially given Diamond Comics notorious shipping damages. They had three collectible cards advertised as well, but instead of an insert type card, they are simply the three regular cards that were signed.

Yeah, that's what I thought as well, although my comic dealer buddy gave me a price cut on 'em to $20.
