    1977 Janex Catalog

Anybody who grew in the 70s probably remembers the Janex line of products especially their talking alarm clocks which were a pretty big deal at the time. I for one coveted that Batman and Robin one but I hated waking up as a kid (still do) so I never asked for one.

The addition of this fun (although weather beaten) catalog also adds some much needed Raggedy Anne and Andy merchandise to the site, it seemed like those two were everywhere back in the day.

I picked up the B&R alarm clock years ago from somewhere. I always wanted those FlashMites.

I have that Batman Pencil sharpener. I got it as part of a trade. Will take offers if anyone is interested. And it does work 50% of the time.

I remember when the first time I saw the commercial for the clocks. I wanted a Raggedy Ann & Andy one so much, and I got it that Christmas. I wore it out. That thing could be heard throughout our apartment. I have 2 of them now. They used to work, but I've moved so much that one doesn't work at all, and the other will keep talking until I yank the battery out. I also have the Batman one, it doesn't work, and even when I tried some advice from a toy merchant, it still didn't. I also have a Raggedy Ann stapler. Oh yeah, and my friend had the Howdy Doody clock.

I still have my Batman alarm clock from childhood. I remember it was in a glass case at Lee's Drugstore for what seemed like years. I begged and pleaded for it. I finally got it, and I actually did use it. Mine doesn't work anymore. But I do remember Batman instructing Robin to "wake up our friend". Robin says "Time to get up, and out of bed!"
"Good boy Robin! Very well said!" and you hear the Batmobile drive off.

When I got back into collecting, the B&R clock was a prized childhood possession that had to be replaced. It took me a bit to find one that works, but it now sits on one of my shelves.

BTW, there used to be a guy on ebay that specifically fixed Janex alarm clock. Is he still around?

had the batman one as a kid. I picked one up about 15 years ago on ebay. The talker didn't work but the stereo store I worked for at the time repaired it and it ended up working for a few months. I also picked up the bugs bunny one too. I think these are really cool.

I remember seeing that Batman clock at Consumers Distributing as a kid. I wanted it so bad.

I have the desk set, and update the calendar every day.

I've got the boxed clock too. The one time I tested it over 20 years ago, it worked perfectly.
