        Congratulations Karen. I vaguely remember a discussion about her on the old Mego Museum forums.

                    She's a beauty! I was so happy when I got one of her too and yes she does look like Cheryl Ladd. I wonder if that rumor is true but looking at her seems like it could be. I hope it is and I've heard that the Sylvie Vartan doll looks like Kate Jackson and some say it was actually meant to be Kate before becoming Sylvie for the toy company Raynal, Which is a toy co. in france who made 12" sized mego dolls under their name. They say that the same thing happened with Kate as it did with Cheryl and the license went to Mattel so they sold the mold to Raynal for Sylvie Vartan as she could pass for her.

                        Very cool, I've never heard of this doll. And that's a very interesting theory regarding the Sylvie doll, Ric. Mego made a Farrah and Jaclyn doll, so it's makes sense that they planned a Kate and Cheryl doll, and when they couldn't get the licenses, they ended up recycling the molds for other dolls. That's a very Mego thing for them to do.

                          Wow! That is awesome. It's really exciting that new discoveries like this are still being made. What a great time to be on the Mego Museum.

                          Cherl Ladd was always my favourite Angel.

                              Ok,..heres my 10 cents,..Sylvie Vartaan's head is accurate to the singer,..as a mold was ordered for her likeness,..same as for the 8" Space 1999 characters, Dr. Who, Leela, Mighty Mightor, etc...
                              In this case,..the head wasnt issued for the Cheryl Ladd as you can see,..the cheek bones, position of eyes, shape of her mouth,.. etc... dont match that of the actress,..BUT..the head was also thought at one time, to be Linsday Wagner, as Mego had plans in making her and had her listed on Toy Fair order sheets,..but wasnt picked up (no prototypes have shown up yet),....so in conclusion,..this particular head used for this SUPERSTAR Doll may have come from this doll,..that also wasnt picked up either,...check this link and you tell me if it does or not look like this other unproduced Celebrity doll,..part of the Mego TV Starz collection;
