First off id like to introduce my self my name is Enzo Ferrara my father usually
lurks your boards under the alias DARTH TYRANUS hes been very ill and is still in hospital so i have been doing his stuff for him im an ape nut same as him so their now you know a little bit about me. Today during my lunch im in a zellers close to my work just snooping around and i find these 2 men with an actual shopping cart tearing down a complete HOTWHEELS display in one cart and put all the ones they want into another, also i noticed 5 or 6 boxes on the floor so i approached them and asked if they had found any ecto 1 cars not in this batch one said but i have like 11 at home willing to sell to you for $6 each give me your e mail address. Ok i undre stand first come first serve on stuff but is it just me or do guys like that take away the pleasure in collecting just asking tell me if this has happened to you befor thanks for listening

Those are the people that ruined the fun for a lot of collectors back in the 90's.
I had no idea until many years later that there were scum like that out there lurking at toy stores and snatching all the low-pack figures and scalping them.
That explained why every time a new toy line came out I could NEVER find certain pieces in those lines.
Turned me off from collecting new stuff, that's for sure.

I see those all the time....it's funny my old local comic shop had a manager that had a part time at the toys r us across the street, I got a job at the toys r us one day only to learn that this goof was only working there to take all the rare stuff to sell at the comic shop before it even hit the isles ....he would open the boxes at night time and save all the good stuff..I remember finding one of his stashes with all the rare episode 1 figures and Starting line-ups

I used to work at KB, these scumbags would come on truck day, and stay all day until the truck was unpacked. we used to bend the cards so kids could get star wars figures, hence the lil jailbird on my icon. there are some that believe that was property damage....leave that topic closed please.

That probably ticked those guys off.
Yeah, most kids just want to rip it open to have the figure. Those scalpers want MOC stuff.

Ah, the scalpers...put me off collecting Star Wars for the most part...more time and money to spend on MEGOs now!
