          No. He was a stand alone character. I know because I was a big fan of that line back in the 70's. I have two Duke Dog figures still in their box. Here's a shot of one of them... Came with a mini-comic book. You seldom see them on Ebay anymore.

                Years ago, you had a number of unscrupulous eBay dealers trying to pass this off as a "Max, The Bionic Dog" Kenner prototype. Of course, it was no such thing.

                  Back in the day my sister and I were mesmerized by the cool comic book ads (wish they still did stuff like that today!) and really wanted these guys....Never did see them in Western Canada though. Ended up, my Sister got one of those solid rubber dogs at Tops in Toys, and made her own rescue outfits for it.
